Sembawang Town Communal Facilities
The new sembawang town swimming complex will be part of a building complex that will comprise of a hawker centre, polyclinics as well as other facilities for the residents to use for their daily necessities. Plans are underway to built the facilities to be next to Admiralty MRT Station and residents of Visionaire EC are only 2 MRT Stops away from the communal centre.
Plans are already underway to complete the construction in 2018 but there are reservations about building the facilities as this would mean giving up part of the lush greenery that is the heritage of Sembawang Town. There are concerns that construction should preserve the old heritage of Admiralty hill while giving communal convenience to the public as well as the residents of Visionaire EC.
